Are you licensed and insured?
Arkansas doesn't license residential roofers — it registers them. Every roofer doing a residential job over $2,000 must be registered with the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board and post a $15,000 surety bond; commercial work of $50,000 or more needs a separate commercial license. Do I need a permit to replace my roof in Fayetteville?
Yes — roof-covering replacement is one of the most common building permits the City of Fayetteville issues, filed through its online permit portal. We pull it. Repairs that don't replace the covering generally don't need one. Springdale, Rogers, Bentonville, Bella Vista and the smaller cities each issue their own; unincorporated county land doesn't require one.
How much does a new roof cost?
For a typical 2,000–2,600 square-foot home in 2026: $11,000–$19,000 for architectural shingles, $13,500–$23,000 for Class 4 impact-resistant shingles, $26,000–$46,000 for standing-seam metal — including tear-off, underlayment, ice barrier, flashing, ridge vent, disposal and the permit. Do you charge for inspections?
No. Storm and hail inspections, with photos and test squares, are free. A written inspection report for a home sale or refinance is a small flat fee credited toward any repair over $1,000.
Do you require a deposit?
Not until you've approved the written price and we've scheduled the work. Most residential jobs are paid on completion; insurance jobs are paid as the carrier releases funds.
Will you waive my deductible?
No. Misrepresenting to your insurer that you paid a deductible you didn't — or hiding it as a rebate, credit or referral fee — is insurance fraud in Arkansas, for the roofer and the homeowner. Any roofer who offers is telling you how they handle paperwork.
Do you overlay or tear off?
Tear off, every time. The code allows one overlay, but it hides rotten decking, traps heat, voids most warranties and doubles the next tear-off. We haven't seen a roof here where the overlay was the right answer.
How long does a roof replacement take?
Most homes are done in one day with a full crew; large or steep roofs take two. We dry in every night — no open roofs.
What is a Class 4 shingle and is it worth it?
A shingle that passes UL 2218 — a 2-inch steel ball dropped from 20 feet without cracking the mat. In a county that gets golf-ball hail most springs, it's usually worth the $2,000–$4,500 upgrade, and many Arkansas insurers give a premium discount for it. We give you the certificate.
How do I know if I have hail damage?
Dented gutters, vent caps and AC fins, and granules in the downspouts tell you hail hit the house. Whether it damaged the shingles takes a test square on the roof — which is the free inspection.
Do you work with insurance?
Yes — we document before you file, meet your adjuster on the roof, build to the approved scope and submit supplements properly. We don't bill insurers directly and we don't waive deductibles.
Do you do metal roofs?
Yes — standing seam for homes, exposed-fastener panel for shops and barns, stone-coated steel, and metal-over-shingle retrofits where one layer exists.
